TettoryBad are Japan´s Masaya Fantasista & Grooveman Spot (aka Tettory BLK) plus London´s Simbad! As they Unite, they created TettoryBad to record an outstanding album. This is a first tastemaker to the upcoming album, feat. two true highlights:
“Don´t push me†feat. Londons finest MC, the man TY, known for his albums on Big Dada Records as well as for some fine features and collaborations. On the B-side there´s the mighty title track of the album, “Uniteâ€, feat. the vocal talents of latest sensation, Fatima. This track was already licensed to Karen P.´s compilation “Broadcastingâ€, out on Sonar Kollektiv 2008.
Upcoming sensation The Clonious remixes “Don´t push me†adding his magic touch. DJ Buzz of Waxolutionists fame (new Waxos album out now on Sunshine!) teams up with Supercity team-players Twintowas, to create a monster remix of the title track “Uniteâ€. To round up that outstanding package, we have included two more original songs taken from the album, the great “Short Love Taleâ€, feat. the vocal talents of Young Gun, Mika Arisaka & Yuri, and also “Space Connection†feat. B-BanDJ.

TettoryBad:
TettoryBad are Jazzy Sport head-coach Masaya Fantasista, Japans hip-hop sensation Grooveman Spot and Londons jack of all trades Simbad. Masaya Fantasista and Grooveman Spot are also known under their production alias Tettory BLK.
Masaya Fantasista runs Jazzy Sport together with Taro Kesen, and he’s also a great DJ and full-time sportsman, as well as producing as part of Breakthrough (album released 2005 on Sony Japan) and Physical Sound Sport.
Grooveman Spot aka DJ KOU-G released his highly anticipated debut album “Eternal Development†back in 2007 on Jazzy Sport/Planet Groove, feat. guests like Count Bass D, Miss Jack Davey, Capitol A, M.E.D. or Grap Luva. He´s also producing as part of Enbull.
Simbad is well known for many years, emerging out of London’s broken beat scene. The man released numerous singles and remixes under many different aliases, most recent the Izmabad collabo with Karizma and his solo-album “Supersonic Revelation“ on Swedens finest Raw Fusion Records.
As Tettory BLK and Simbad Unite for one special project, they created TettoryBad!

George Smallwood - Just 4 You CD/LP (Jazzman)
Available on CD here and LP here
The fifth release in our illustrious HOLY GRAIL series is a faithful, collector-friendly reissue of Washington DC native George Smallwood's only LP, one of the most sought after modern soul long players in existence. As ever, we present the LP complete with its original artwork intact and the music lovingly restored - limited to 1000 numbered copies on vinyl. The CD issue boasts additional tracks taken from his 45s as well as exclusive in-depth track notes with background info on the man himself and every song included.
As with every release thus far in this series, haste is strongly advised! We have sold out on every title and we anticipate the demand on this to be just as strong!
George Smallwood had actually turned his back on a dream of a career in music in order to provide for his family by driving trucks for a living when a terrible accident intervened to rob him of his sight forever. Finding gainful employment hard to come by, Smallwood turned once again to music as both a possible vocation and a remedy for his soul. Setting up a home studio outfit, he buried himself in instrumentation and composition in a more deep and concentrated way than ever before. Eventually assembling a band of talented musicians he began to record and release his own 45s.
Each record he released was distinguished by truly sophisticated production, a smooth sound and lavish depth which marks Smallwood as a real voice in 70s soul music, but one which few up til now have ever heard. Even without major success, thankfully Smallwood continued to record and issue short-run records through the '70s and into the early '80s, culminating in the majesty of his full length LP 'Just For You.'
With George's blessing and endorsement we are thrilled to be able to offer up his wonderful album once again, and we feel that it will find a much wider and more receptive audience than it did the first time around, in fact the audience it was always intended for - lovers of deep, groovy music from the heart and soul.

Various - Harder Shade Of Black CD/LP (Pressure Sounds)
Available on CD here and LP here
Jamaican youth producer Leonard 'Santic' Chin first arrived in the UK on the 10th of February 1974. While staying in London he compiled and released his debut long player, built around his then current successful Jamaican seven inch recordings, the classic 'Harder Shade Of Black' album.
Twenty one years later 'Harder Shade Of Black' was the first album to be released on Pressure Sounds. Re-titled 'An Even Harder Shade Of Black' Leonard's original ten tracks were augmented by a further stirring selection of deejay, dub, instrumental and vocal releases of the same superb vintage.
Over the ensuing years 'An Even Harder Shade Of Black' has proved to be one of the most consistently popular Pressure Sounds releases.
And now, almost thirty six years to the day after Santic first flew in from Kingston, we are both pleased and proud to be re-presenting and re-releasing this classic set. Totally re-mastered, with added bonus tracks, new artwork and graphics the album comes, once again, in the sleeve that was first used on the original Santic release. For the CD release Leonard has kindly allowed us to use some never before seen pictures of himself and the original Santic All Stars band; the liner notes recount, in Leonard's own words, the origins and the ways of working that produced these timeless recordings.
"Looking back now I'm thinking, in the eighties and nineties, people would spend these relentless hours voicing, dropping in, voicing, dropping in. And nobody's happy! Doing that you have no soul! You're just like a mechanical thing. When you hear sweet things and think it can be sweeter. but it's sweet enough already! You become over technical and everybody wants to be greater than they really can be. It doesn't really happen like that. You can only be the best you can be." Leonard Chin
The vinyl LP is now an exact facsimile of the original Santic release. The bonus tracks on the CD are 'Columbo' from Augustus Pablo, 'Special Branch', 'Hell Boat' & 'Mexican Rocking' from the Santic All Stars, 'Shouldn't Say No' from Jah Woosh and its vocal counteraction 'I Don't Want To Lose You' from Paul Whiteman. A classic roots album.
