Fudge Fingas provides a three track e.p for this solo release on Prime Numbers. "About Time" is a taster of his forthcoming debut album set for release in April. After a handful of highly regarded tracks featured on Prime Numbers' signature ep series and the much coveted Firecracker 10"'s, Fudge Fingas has produced a set finely displaying his instinctive ability to fuse sounds from a wide spectrum of styles. "Its About Time" opens the ep with a midtempo house meditation, sounding something like a meeting of Larry Heard and Ivor Cutler. Its melancholic beginnnings give way to an insistent mantra as the track builds in intensity.
In keeping with the true meanings of house music “Me & U†dwells on the mysteries of love. Here Mr Fingas confesses his inability to function without his better half. The production is reminiscent of a classic 90’s garage release on Bottom Line or Fourth Floor. “MmmmHmmm†is an older, matured piece from Fudge’s repetoire. Eschewing the traditional 4/4 time signature for a 3/4 feel this track is his tribute to jazz-techno pioneers such as Juan Atkins and post-rock mavericks like Tortoise.Related Releases:

Prime Numbers are back with E11.... the latest in the PN E.P series. Three exclusive tracks by Mr Scruff & Kaidi Tatham, Motor City Drum Ensemble and Andrés!
This time they feature a heavyweight collaboration between Mr Scruff & Kaidi Tatham who provide a smouldering jazz-house production with Kaidi leading the way on keys and flute on top of a chunky, bottom-heavy groove.
Motor City Drum Ensemble drops a killer raw cut. A heavily smashed jackin’ disco workout with all the markings of a fine Cajual dub or early Striclty Rhyhtm. The track oozes soul and is unpretentiously aimed at the dancefloor. Once again Danilo Plessow proves less is more.
Andrés completes the line up with a cheeky blend of some classic ingredients. Sounding like a track from his early releases, “Jack City†has all the essential hallmarks of the Andrés sound with an excellently simple but purely effective fusion of house and hiphop ethics.
