The 45 was absolutely conceived as a homage to late 60s/early 70s raw, lo-fi gospel funk 45s, any distortion/crackliness is totally intended. Imagine it like it was recorded live in a church somewhere back in the old days. It's a mix of samples & live instruments edited into the final product. Super limited edition of 200 hand numbered copies.  Mastered & cut at Timmion in Finland by Jukka Sarapaa (Soul Investigators). This 45 was written, recorded & arranged by local music teacher, guitarist & funk/soul 45 collector/DJ/addict Kris Holmes, who has spun records in the UK, France, USA & Australia over the last 10+ years (& occasionally in NZ too). Fresh back from playing a couple of gigs in Melbourne, this is his first vinyl release.
