PODCAST: Earshot - Japan Special
This past Sunday the 11th of March marked the one year anniversary of the massive 9.0-magnitude earthquake that struck off the coast of Japan, triggering a devastating tsunami that slammed into the island nation, killing thousands of people.
More than 300,000 people are still homeless and around 3,300 others are unaccounted for. The tsunami also sparked a nuclear reactor meltdown at the Fukushima Dai-ichi plant, resulting in the worst nuclear accident since Chernobyl.
To help remember the people of Japan and to mark one year to the day that the event happened, the Earshot show this past Sunday was dedicated to the people of Japan.
Donations to the people affected by this disaster can be made via the Red Cross website here
