In December of 1984 at a concert at Aotea Square Dave Dobbyn predated most rap in New Zealand and fellow riot inciter Tiki Tane when he allegedly told the crowd
"Fuck the police I'm coming straight from the underground"
The audience went mental and smashed up Queen St.
