Wonderful Noise Records from Japan continues to fly the flag for New Zealand music, this next release comes from Lewis McCallum's 2010 album 'Syntheology'.
'Syntheology' is a meeting of two ideas: synth, meaning synthetic or artificial, and theology, refering to organic or philosophical ideas.
This plays out on the album as sax player McCallum uses a plethora of old and new synths and other computer generated sounds as raw materials, but throws them around with a swirling organic approach.
This EP features guest vocal appearances from Fran Kora, Mara TK, Deva Mahal & Esther Stephens.
