NZ's Premier Soul Music Event - An All Day Celebration Of Soul Music
After laying down one of the most inviting and engaging party vibes in recent memory at the re-launch of the NZ Soul All Dayer back in May, your new favourite soul music party returns for a very special winter edition at a brand new downtown Auckland location.
As well as a bespoke selection of DJs armed with treasures recovered from the darkest corners of their extensive record collections, we have a live DJ/PA set all the way from Wellington, courtesy of Chocolate Box - vocalists Lisa Tomlins and Vanessa Stacey alongside DJ Ayesha Kee - providing you with all the sweetness you'll need. There will be classic soul and Blaxploitation movies screening all day, delicious soul food served from the Britomart Country Club kitchen, free copies of issue #2 of the Soultearoa 'zine being handed out, 'Soul Tiki' t-shirts and slipmats for sale, and more good soul and funk music than you could shake a stick at.
